I created this blog because after years of searching for the best acne products, I finally found one that worked for me and I wanted to tell people about it. It’s called Acne No More, and I have written several posts about it on this blog…

First, I talk about my acne problem, how it affected my sense of self worth and made me sometimes not even want to go out.

I wrote a post also about all my searching for the best treatments for acne. I tried creams and ointments, was prescribed medication, and other things.

It started in the 9^th grade. I spent four miserable years in high school, four not much better in college, and two more after that with zits, pimples, and other related acne issues. My acne came and went, got worse and better.At first I thought it was just a phase of being a teenager. I thought it would go away. Many of my friends had zits. It wasn’t really out of the ordinary at first. But it was unpredictable. It got worse and better on its own. Or so I thought, until I found Acne No More.

But in college, when most of my friends had only a pimple or two, my acne was still full blown. Frankly I was embarrassed. It really made me feel frustrated and embarrassed, a whole range of emotions. Even pain and guilt for a while.

I had been bullied, teased, made fun of. At times, I just stayed at home to avoid being looked at or embarrassed. Bad acne made me feel terrible about myself, like I was being punished for a past life or something.

I went through different phases of trying to treat it, trying everything, looking for which acne product works the best. You can read about that search on my blog post about searching for the best treatments for acne.

It turns out I had “Moderate Vulgaris” and suffered from whiteheads, blackheads, papules and pustules. As I learned more, I lived in fear that my acne would become severe Vulgaris where you get pock marks, nodules, and cysts.

Well, I kept searching and trying different acne products until finally, I found what I consider the best acne treatment product available, Acne No More. It worked for me, really clearing up my skin and restoring my confidence.

The guy who created the Acne No More system, Mike Walden, had the worst kind of acne, Severe Vulgais, with nodules under his cheeks and cysts on his neck. Acne had even had spread to his back. He said he cured his acne through holistic treatments. I didn’t even know what that meant, but I was willing to try anything, and if someone could cure worse acne than mine, I was willing to try the product.

First it was the over the counter creams and ointments. None of them really helped. They just sort of dried up my skin. I began to wonder why so many over the counter products didn’t list their ingredients. I slowly began to realize I was brainwashed into looking for a magic product and the marketing of these products was all about the instant, quick fix that would solve all my problems.It turns out there’s really only a few different kinds of drugstore products…

There’s products with soap, which dry and irritated my skin. There’s SLS or Sodium Lauryl Sulfate, which stripped my skin of important oils. No good. Then there’s what I call the “scrubbers” — things like beads, luffa pads, seeds, etc. All bad as well, as they just made my face more red. None of these products got “under” my skin to address the root causes of my acne.

I also saw a doctor and was prescribed medication. What a mistake! I had headaches and vision problems. I came to find out that these powerful steroid medicines were first used in the late 1970’s for severe acne sufferers and have since become over-prescribed to people with mild acne, like me. ‘Roids may be good for some people, but not for me.

Then I started searching on the internet. I found tons and tons of really good information, but also there seemed to be a lot of deceptive advertising, false claims and marketing scams. It’s kind of like the wild west.

Then I found Mike Walden’s acne product, Acne No More.  Right away I could tell it was different, because it was all about fixing the underlying problem to my acne, not to applying some magic elixir to the surface of my skin.

This acne product was about fixing all aspects of what’s causing the acne, what Mike called a Holistic approach. I had never heard this word, but I looked it up on Wikipedia. It means:

Holistic health is a concept in medical practice upholding that all aspects of people’s needs, psychological, physical and social should be taken into account and seen as a whole. As defined above, the holistic view on treatment is widely accepted in medicine.

As Mike says in his book, “Regardless of what other western medicine followers may have told you, acne can be cured, naturally and permanently.” This really appealed to me.

I was a little skeptical, because Acne No More was less than $40, and I had it in my head that I would have to spend a ton of money to get rid of my problem. But in the end I figured, I had sunk so much money already into this that I’d give it a try.

And you know what? It worked and it changed my life.

So much so that I made this website to tell other people about it. I wrote two other blog posts: one reviewing the best Acne product(the good and the bad) and one on what I like best about it.

There’s a lot of good things to be said about Acne No More, but the most important thing is that it worked to clear up all of my acne and restore my self-confidence.Acne No More is an acne product that took author Mike Walden years of research & six months to write. It was copyrighted in 2003 and has been in publication ever since, so I knew it wasn’t a fly-by-night scam.

I liked it from the moment I read the dedication, to his wife and all acne sufferers who “take their fate into their own hands.” This sounded exactly like what I wanted to do.

It’s much more than just an acne product, though. I’d call it a complete program, or even a system to get rid of acne.  It is 243 pages of detailed information about what causes acne, the different types, his system for cleaning and flushing the skin, detoxing the skin, and all about what you can do every day to maintain clear skin. There’s even a section on how to eliminate acne scars.

With all this information, though, it was pretty simple and straight forward. All the concepts are presented in an easy-to-understand way. No conflicting theories or mis-information. Just straight-forward explanations and simple strategies to apply.

The best part for me, which I explain further in this post, is that there’s a step-by-step, easy to follow program on how to cure acne permanently. If you don’t want to take the time to follow the step-by-step program, Mike includes clear skin recipes and guidelines to just the basic principles that need to be followed to achieve clear skin.

I have to be totally honest and say that the one bad thing was that going into it, I felt like it would require a big commitment from me. The whole approach of this acne product is to help you become healthy and balanced, and that would require changes in my eating, exercise, and mental attitude. It seemed like a lot of work at the start, but I knew by then that the answer was not in a bottle or cream. I have had success with this product, and I’m here to tell you it’s true what they say: anything worthwhile requires a commitment.

Because it did require action on my part, the main feature I liked was the step-by-step guide. Unlike other acne products I’ve tried, this went a step beyond just giving information to actually creating an easy to follow plan. This was not about vague guidelines, but very specific tasks for me to complete, one by one. It made the commitment part of it MUCH easier to deal with because it was simple to follow.

As I said earlier, within four weeks of using Acne No More, I started seeing changes. Not only was my Acne reducing, but my skin felt healthier, and I felt healthier.

Why did it work? I think it’s because this acne treatment product teaches that: “Acne is a message from your body that something is wrong inside.” First you have to fix what’s wrong inside.

For some crazy reason, this made perfect sense to me. I always knew the things I ate, chemicals I used, even the thoughts I had, were negative and unhealthy. I just never knew how connected everything was, and how it manifested itself in my zits.

The chapter on the Causes of Acne really helped me understand that my behavior was contributing to my acne. I always knew this in the back of my mind, but never knew what to do about it.
